Whirpool India Ltd - Poor quality and bad service of washing machine

I purchased fully automatic washing machine of the company nearly 1.5 years back. I chose the option of extended warrantee for two more years (thus a total of three year warrantee).

My experience has been terrible with the machine. Machine stopped working within first week after the purchase. After hectic argument with the company, machine was replaced.

Within few months, the electronic circuit of the machine collapsed. It was replaced and again I had to wait for repair.

Machine had few small breakdowns.

Last weak it again stopped working. Engineers took the machine to service centre. They have asked me to pay Rs. 1000 despite extended warrantee. They say that some part is to be replaced. That part is not covered under warrantee. Further, I am tole that stated part is not available and I might have to wait longer for the machine. They took machine on 6/11/2012 to service centre. I have no clue when are they going to return the machine to me.

I do not know what solutions do I have under these conditions.

Complainant's Goal: I want quick and efficient service. Else, the defective product be replaced.
