Paytm - Paytm delivered me defective product and not taking the defective product back

I had purchased a Lenovo laptop from PayTm. On the day one, I switched on the laptop and my screen went blank and I see the screen blinking. I need to restart the system. I had the same kind of experience on day 2 also. So I contacted Lenovo support center and the support team helped me in resolving, but my actual issues did not get resolved. I decided to return the laptop within the week of delivery. The PayTm support team never responded to the issue. I had sent all the required documents to Paytm. After making series of complaints and calls I finally get a callback from Paytm. The Paytm team asked me to contact the seller, and the seller wanted a defect report from the Lenovo service center. Do we buy brand new products to get it repaired from Lenovo. I wanted to return and the Paytm is not taking back my product. I donot see a point of purchasing the products from Paytm as the Paytm promote and delivers defective products and delays the process. The return policy is not an actual return policy, its a fraud policy created to deliver non usable products.
