complaint - Pathetic service standards of Oberio Motors Noida

This is with reference to my car Fiat Linea bearing registration no: UP16-AE-2968.

I wish to highlight the pathetic service standards of Oberio Motors Noida and misbehaving of Mr. Ranchan Paul*(Service Advisor) with me.

The above mentioned car was given by for accidental repairs (left side) to Oberoi Motors, Sector 2 Noida on 23/09/11 and has been received by me only on 23rd December that also with incomplete and shoddy work.

The car was handled by Mr. Ranchan Paul, who at the time of giving the car gave me an estimated repair time of 1 Month as certain parts had to be procured from Fiat, Pune.

After the 1 Month I gave a call to Mr. Paul and I was told that the work is over, however due to Diwali holidays the surveyor hasn't been able to come and insect the car. After a week I was informed by Mr. Paul that they had wrongly ordered the right front seat whereas front left seat had to be ordered. This was when I was told a week back that the car was ready. At this point I also spoke with Mr. Gopalan (GM, Oberio Motors), who assured me that they will expedite the ordering process and get the seat at the earliest.

In the last week of November I was told again that everything was ready and they are waiting for the seat, however for the time being they can put an old seat and replace the old seat once the new seat came. Mr. Ranchan Paul also assured me that the seat comes under metal part and I would only have to pay 5-10% of the seat cost as my car was barely 3 months old.

In the first week of December, I received an intimation from Insuarance company and they told me that I would have to pay 50% of the sear cost as it comes under plastic. I informed the same to Oberoi Motors and they said they will take care of this. InOn 4th December , I got a call from Mr. Gopalan himself apologizing for the dealay and assuring me that all the work is complete and I can pick my car on 5th Deecember and he will call me again to make sure that car is ready. However, I got no call from Mr. Gopalan and on me calling on 19th December I was told the car is ready and I can come to pick the car on 20th December.

On my coming to Oberoi Motors on 20th December, Mr. Ranchan Paul firstly showed me the wrong invoice and asked me to pay a wrong amount. Then on my asking about the car, I came to know that the car was still lying in their godown. When the car came and went for washing, several glitches were found:

1. The side bidding on left door was missing
2. The rear bumper was out
3. The front bumper cap was missing
4. The car was dirty from inside

All the above glitches were pointed out by me and on my discussion with Mr. Paul I was assured everything was done in 30-40 Mins. However, Mr. Paul came to me and informed that the left door bidding was not available and on further scrutiny it was found out that It was not even ordered. On my questioning this, Mr. Paul started yelling at me and said if its not there then he can't help it and he walked out on me. He left the showroom yelling at me.

After which I spoke with Mr. Kapil, who apologized for the delay and assured me that my Car will be ready by 22nd December.
I spoke with Mr. Gopalan on 22nd December and assured me again that everything has been done and I'll get the car on 23rd Deemeber and It wont take more that 10 Minutes for me to take the car.

However, on my reaching the showroom on 23rd December I was asked to wait for 5 minutes and I was told that the car has gone for washing, but on my checking the car, I realized a number of things were still undone:

1. The rear bumper was still out.
2. The right door was still scratched
3. The left door tapes were missing
4. The glove compartment door was not fixed
5. The defogger wire was coming out
6. The front tires mud flap was missing
7. The car was extremely dirty form inside

I had to wait for more than 3 hours in the workshop, and all the above issues were pointed out by me. I was assured again by Mr. Gopalan that these above wil be fixed as certain products were not available in their stores.The fitting and cleaning were of pathetic quality, everything was done in a were shabby manner.

Now, on my driving the car for the last 2 days I have faced a lot of other issues.
1. The rear brake light stays on throughout
2. The car's top carpet has been shabbily fixed
3. Lot of vibration on driving the car
4. The car is hitting even the smallest speed breaker
5. Dirty seats and dirty side doors fabric

I wish to reiterate the fact that at the time of giving the car, it was only 3 months old.

I wish to seek an explanation for this unprofessional service standard that are being maintained by Oberoi Motors. If even after 3 months the service center can't give the customer the car in a proper condition then I wish to know why am I being charged for the services.

Not only my car is in a pathetic condition, but I had to face the embarrassment of getting yelled by your service personnel, even when he was at fault. I have spent so much of time & energy in doing a continous follow-up for the last 3 months and even after that my car is in a pathetic condition.

Kindly look in to this issue and provide me with service which will get my car to the original condition as this has been a harrowing experience I wish to mention failure to address my concern will only force me to file a legal complaint against the pathetic service standards that has been given to me.

I'd suggest you speak to Mr BK Raina who is the Dealer Principal at the service center.
