Hi to whomsoever concerned,

I own a Hyundau Santro car and had visited Mahindra First Choice workshop for the regular service and checkup before monsoon last month assuming that it is a good renowned multibrand car workshop and will get a good service.

I just asked for the normal service which consists of Engine Oil Change, Air filter clean and Oil filter change. I have given an estimated of approx Rs 2500 and the car was delivered to me after complete one day (which is actually not required for a basic service). The moment I drove my car out of the workshop, there was a humming sound in engine, which was not their before giving my car for service and it was running absolutely fine and next day was Sunday, which was closure of workshop. I visited the workshop on Monday morning with the problem and they said that they have not done anything but it is not acceptable as car was absolutely running fine before that. So they said that this is sound from engine and it requires complete overhauling of engine for which they gave me a budgeted cost of Rs 60k. I did visited Hyundai authorised workshop named Asset Hyundai, where also they gave me same reasoning. Now my concern is that how come a car has some problem immediately after the regular service, where there should not have been any intervention with engine. Mahindra First Choice is a worst place I have ever been to regarding service. Better you go to any road side workshop and get your vehicle serviced there. These guys are robbers. Request you to please fix the problem.

Regards,

Amrit pal Singh

Cheating by Mahindra First Choice by selling with condenmed parts/damaged parts

Hi All,
I took Swift VXI -2008 model from Mahindra First Choice on 09/07/2012. On 14/07/2012 for the first time i went to Temple with Family car got Break down in the mid of heavy traffic night 7 pm. I mind got blocked, before taking the car Agil Cars ( Franchise of Mahindra First Choice - Nampally - Hyderabad ) told that for every car they will do 118 checks before Selling / purchasing the car. Finally we called on mechanic he said Battery was gone and Dynamo also have the problem due to that high voltage is comming. If you ride this car Batter may get blast or total wiring will get burn. In that situation what can i do with that car. I call the First Choice person who sold it to me, he gave a blind suggestion that park the a side and inform to police and take taxi go home. Our techinician will take that car from the braeak down area and drop it to your home. This is what he is saying. I asked him what about the Battery and Dynamo as you already Certified this car is very good and is in warrenty for one year. Then there is no reply from then till now. I took that car by pulling with other car.
After 2 days they are not picking the Phone even i tried to reach them. Finally i decided to lodge a complaint against them to Heat Office of Mumbai through toll Free number - 1800 102 4800. But it was always busy. Even i tried to reach them 2 days. Finally i decided to approach the Consumer Court and file a cheating case against them and due them i faced a lot of mental tension on the first day till midnight 12 pm with Family.
This is the experience about Madhindra First choice. Frieds before taking any car please check all the parts take the written assurence from the seller that all the parts are good in any break down is there in first two months they have to replace it with new one. Then will tell us the fact whether all the parts are in good condition or needs to change.
