I understand that an organized Smartphone Robbery is going on in Bangalore now and I am the latest victim of that. Yesterday evening about 6:30 PM, I was driving from Electronic City towards Madiwala. I had my new iPhone 5 lying on the front left seat. When I came down from the Elevated Highway and merged with the Hosur Road, before Silk Board junction, one guy came from the left side and banged on my left window glass. He was shouting something pointing his finger towards my rear wheel. I was going at dead slow speed due to heavy traffic. I lowered the glass to hear what he was trying to tell me. Suddenly, another guy came to my right side and knocked on the right window glass and I looked at him. I did not lower the right glass. Then he signaled to me that everything is okay and I can go. By that time the guy on the left side disappeared in to the traffic. Then I realized that my iPhone 5 has also disappeared. The driver of car on my left lane stopped by and told me that the guy took away my phone. Then only I realized that it was an organized phone robbery. I could not do anything to stop the robbers or trace them. Later, I stopped at Madiwala police station and lodged a complaint. When I lodged the complaint, the police officers at Madiwala Police Station told me that several people have been robbed of their Smartphones recently and they are aware of that. Even though I have provided them my iPhone IMEI Number, I don’t think police is going to do anything about it. Actually iPhone has a feature to locate the lost phone, but that is also not helpful because they have switched off the phone immediately.

Please help me recover my iPhone 5 and also protect Bangaloreans from such criminal activities..
