To whom it may concern:

Today I am making this complain because your (Spencer’s Retail) ASM name Mr. Arup (0********30) assured me that proper action will be taken about the below mention matter.

My name is Rakesh Kumar Modi. And I frequently visit throughout the time to leading Shopping Malls as I am a Retail executive head for North-East Zone for the company I work for.


During my visit in Spencer’s (South City Mall), on Date 20.9.2010, I was usually taking few domestic products like Kurkure, Uncle chips, dairy milk, five stars etc……….and one Lakme nail remover and set up for the payment, where I experienced numerous problems that I just cannot let go untold. When I have taken Lakme product sales girl of lakme explained me that this product needs to be billed separately. Immediately I went to the cash counter to get it bill, but the cashier name Tufan Mondal Employee code 1000264. Was busy on chatting with another brand sales girl. I waited patiently for them to even acknowledge I was even there, so before Tufan Modal would let me talk tufan told me that this is not the billing counter for goods, you please go to other billing counter. I am sure that tufan might have seen other domestic goods which were in my hand and before let me explain he guided me in the wrong direction.

Immediately I went to the Lakme counter and told her that Tufan Mondal (cashier) told me to get it billed in another counter. Lakme brand staff accompanied me to Tufan Mondal and told her that lakme product can be bill in this counter. Tufan Mondal replied that sir did not brought Lakme product to my counter so I guided sir to other billing counter. Listening to this I got angry and shouted on Tufan Mondal and told him to get this bill done……. on further arguing with Tufan Mondal, tufan rejected to make my bill, for which I have to left the item over there and ask tufan to show me his identity card so that I can go to senior manager present in Spencer to lodge a complaint against Tufan, but shock to found that there was no senior manager / floor manager / Retail Operational Manager / Asst. store Manager / Store Manager was present. After that I left from there and today after getting some spare time I am lodging this complain

I hope that this is a one-time experience that I will never have to endure again. However, I feel compelled to make my complaint known if for no other reason than I do not wish to see anyone else go through an experience such as this. Please respond with how you have handled this issue and how I can be sure this will never happen to me again. Lastly, I can say only this My One Rupee would have also added to your sale. MANAGEMENT PLEASE WAKES UP!!!!!!!!

Hi Mr. Modi.

I am a customer of Spencers Retail as well, and have been a victim of an equivalent misbehavior, this time from a so-called Customer Service Supervisor at Spencers Quest Mall, and am planning to lodge a complaint on the same.

Can you let me know if any action was taken on behalf of your complaint and if there is anything I should know to proceed further on this?
