Hi,

I would like to start by saying that I have been let down by the callousness of the people who conduct services on the vehicles in the service centers. The brunt of which has to borne by the customer for no fault of his own.

Car Details:

Mahindra Scorpio
Model 2009, VLX mHawk
Service at: 80, 000 KMs
Getting serviced at : Sterling Motors Gurgaon
Date: 30th August 2013

Issue: I have been getting my car serviced after every 5K KMs as suggested by the company and have rarely missed it. Whenever I have missed the same I have ensured that I get the missed service included in the next service as well. I have been doing this to make sure that I don't get issues in the car and it would remain in the healthy state. But to my shock and disgust I have been told that the servicing to be done this time at 80K KMs would cost me 50K rupees. This because of the mismanagement and lack of checking in the previous services.

I have been told that the problem after checking is very serious like oil leakage, brake lining etc and this could have been avoided if it would have been checked regularly by the people conducting service on my car but I guess they were more interested in just going through the motions and not following the checklists.

This is not the first time this happened. There was a case 1 year back when the clutch went dead because of the cylinder leakage. And the amazing thing is that I had got the service done a week back and this happened. I was stuck in the middle of the road at 10PM in the night when this happened. I was told that this could happen just about anytime and we can't check it. On further pursuance by me they gave in and accepted that this was not checked even when I told them to check it. That time I did not raise a flag it because I thought it was an honest mistake and was the first time. I thought that Mahindra is a brand, they would not do this on purpose.

I did not realize that I was being duped day in and out in every service where I believed that I am sending my car for regular servicing to make sure that I don't face issues whereas I was told today that the car is in very bad shape and I have to shell out around 50k for getting into a position where it would be safe to drive it again.

Another shocking aspect is that this is not a single service station. I got my car serviced by couple of them in Chandigarh and Panchkula namely Swami Motors and Speedlinks.

If I have to spend 50K on things that could have been better managed in previous services then I guess I am better off not getting my car serviced at all.

I am not sure if anyone is going to take any action on it but I guess I would be making sure that I don't buy or suggest anyone to buy Mahindra vehicles. This not because of the quality of the vehicle but because of the quality of the after sale servicing. I am today ashamed of being associated with Mahindra whereas I was quite a proud Scorpio owner a yesterday.

Very poor service experience in Susee Mahindra Kappaloor,Madurai. Am put him to service for my scorpio dated 14.03.2016 complaints is that Oil Service and Ac complaints upto till not ready service manger told we do not stock for ac hose. Poor customer relationship and administartion they ready to sale new vehicle. They did not follow service
