Complaint by: Rajesh P on October 7, 2012, 2:39 pm in Loans All

Dear Sir,

I need some clarification on issues that I have mentioned below for my loan account.

My Details
Name: Rajesh Philip Mattathil
Loan Type: Home Loan
Loan Account Number: ********2317
File No: ********53
Loan Amount: Rs 28,00,000/-
Scheme: Griha Prakash

I have paid processing fees of Rs 5618/- to LIC Housing Finance Limited by Check.

Your agent Mr. Ajmer Mulani working with LICHFL Pimpri Pune handled my documents and processing. Earlier he asked me for an amount of Rs 2250/- for stamping purpose. I denied to pay him the same as processing fees was already collected and moreover the stamp paper is of Rs 900/-. Later on he insisted me to pay atleast Rs 1000/- to him saying that he had paid for stamping from his own pocket money. He told me that LICHFL does not pay for stamping and it has to paid by the customer. If its true please confirm please let me know in reply to this.

I have also attached my Loan Payment details. As per it my first EMI amount is of Rs 8355/- , I have been asked to provide a check of Rs 8613/- that includes late fees, since EMI was not cut automatically from my bank account.
I am holding an account with State Bank Of India. I had already provided ECS form to your company agent in time. If EMI was not cut automatically from the bank, you could have collected the check on the very day rather than waiting, so as to collect late fees. How could you expect customer to pay late fee every time EMI is not deducted automatically form customers account, If the customer has provided/followed all mention processes.

I have already spoken about this to Mr Shyam Gowane area manager for Pimpri, but he doesn't seem to be interested in hearing any customer complaints. He told that its my fault I should have got the ECS cleared and I have to pay fine for it. I told him that I was not informed in prior about my first EMI date which was on 15 September. Mr Ajmer Mulani handed me the payment details on last week of September. My first dispersment was in first week of September. Mr. Ajmer Mulani handed me the document and asked me for a check of Rs 8613/- which included fine. He did not inform me earlier that if ECS is not cleared I have to pay fine.

Why do I have to pay the fine if you are hiding information from customers and trying to take benefit of it.
Please reply.

Regards,
Rajesh Philip
