My name is Lijo Joseph.PNR: O8PNPF. I had a journey scheduled for June 4th, 7:30 from Chennai to Dubai. As per the instructions I received via SMS and on the Indigo website, I did online check-in and reached the airport at 6:10 as mentioned on the boarding pass. The counter was closed at 6:10, though the departure was at 7:30. When I approached the Indigo staffs, they made me to wait for a long time and finally I was told that I would not be able to travel. They informed me that online check-in is not allowed for international travel and the passengers must reach the airport 4 hours prior to the scheduled departure! If online check-in is not allowed for international travel, why do you text us and email us requesting to do online check-in? Your staffs say online check-in is just for seat selection, but with the other airlines online check-in is not just for picking your seat. With Airlines like Emirates, if a passenger checks in online, he/she can reach the check-in counter just an hour before the departure and board the flight. Do you understand why they are the number???. I had even taken a print of the boarding pass paying a hefty charge at the airport hoping it would save some time. Indigo is the worst International airline service and I will never ever book a ticket with you. To top it all, there are no customer service staff at the boarding area. You have to run everywhere to find someone. Your staffs run from domestic to international depending on where a flight arrives or departures. I need refund for the ticket charge. If Indigo is not ready to pay me the compensation, I am going to file a complaint in the consumer forum.
