sir,
i am a daily passanger since 2002 in between njp and jalpaiguri rly station. i am sorry to say that in several occasion i faced harassment in renewing my seasonal ticket. i want redress of the harassment caused to me.
on 12.06.2012 at about 9:00 a.m. at njp rly ticket counter no.4 i produced my id card issued by the rly authority and the quarterly season ticket which had expired on 11.06.2012. the qst costs rs.395.00. the lady booking clerck at the counter returned my id card, threw towards me rs.105.00 and a ticket against my producing a 500 rupee note. i collected the things and as i hurridly left and proceeded towards the platform i noticed what i was given is my expired ticket. at once i came back at the counter and approached the lady booking clerck for the ticket for which i paid a few minutes ago. but she denied me and replied that i lost it somewhere. at this pick hour and as the schedule time of the haldibari-bound passanger was nearing i had to purchase a single way journey ticket with rs.6. on the way of my return from jalpaiguri at about 7:00 p.m. i visited the station manager at njp and telling everything i requested him to issue a duplicate ticket. he advised me to lodge a f.i.r. (stating that the ticket was lost) with the grp at njp on the next day, but could not assure me of issuing a duplicate one.
i must state here that the same lady clerck in previous occasion denied me to issue a qst in advance of even one day. i approached the same station manager with the issue, but got no redressal.
l would request you to arrange for inquiry for (i) issuance of a duplicate ticket with latest validity; and (ii) taking necessary action to stop such harassment by some arrogant employees.
