MakeMyTrip India - I got cheated by youe executive

Dear Sir,

I booked 2 Air tickets to Toronto on 30th JUNE for my parents. As my parents were going on a immigrant visa i was not sure about the return journey date.

For this your executive told that the date change is free for once for this ticket and said we could randomly book for some day in NOV mid and boobed for NOV 19.

I called the customer care to change the travel date on oct-26 and found that a penalty of 7500 will be charged. When i told them what was promised to me i was told that after hearing the audio conversation they will do justice to me and also committed that it will happen before 24 hours.

Since i didnt get a call till 28th of oct i called again the executive again committed that a free date change will be made if they find such commitments in the audio conversation and all this will happen with in 48 hours.

But i didn\'t receive a call back so i called on 2-Nov (TWICE) and was told i will get a call back from the concern department within 4 hours the same day but didn\'t get any as usual.

The next day some one called me from makemytrip and to my surprise for that person i have to tell the entire story as she was not aware of the issue and in between the call got cut.

I called the Customer care again the same day and wanted to talk to the manager who said they lost the audio conversation because of some technical problem and coolly said that you should checked the confirmation mail where at the bottom they have mentioned about the penalty. But the executive CHEATED ME IN THE CONVERSATION THAT THE DATE CHANGE IS FREE AND THE RETURN DATE WAS PROPOSED BY HER.

Then when i explained how bad i got hurt he gave me the mobile number of Getha irel The consumer support head (AS was Told to me) and said she will help me out. But when i tried her mobile no body picked it up ( Any way i will try again after some time).

Now I request the Makemytrip management to do justice for me. I request the consumer court to advice companies do strict monitoring so that the consumers are not cheated by their employees.

This is a good lesson. From my experience as well, I have learned well to either ignore / be very very careful with Makemytrip.

I wouldn't expect them to respond to you favorably. Think about it - this is the case when you have recorded the audio conversation!
