I purchased Hyundai Grand i10 Magna Petrol on 10th October 2013 by paying full cash and took the delivery on 11th October 2013. On 20th Nov 2013, to my surprise all of a sudden, the battery is fully drained out…..inspite of headlight off, music system off and AC off!!!!!!!!!!!. The Smart key, Ignition, power windows nothing is working. First month itself after purchasing the Grand i10, I am facing lot of problems by calling up Hyundai Helpline, roadside assistance, Service Center, speaking to Customer care Manager, Service Advisor, Senior Managers etc to check up this issue. Some says it is a battery related issue, other says it’s a cluster programme related issue where they would be scanning the car in the service center and would be finding out the reason/defects…. Come on!!!!!!!!! It’s a new car ….. It’s really scary and pathetic to get this kind of response...

I must say I am getting an overall negative feedback on the performance of this car and my bad decision of purchasing this Grand i10. It is ridiculous, that lying two days idle, the car battery is fully draining out!! What kind of engineering technology is used by Hyundai while manufacturing this car???????????? I am having other car also, but lying idle for 15 to 20 days also I had not experienced this kind of Battery draining out issue. I am not at all satisfied with the performance of the car as within one month itself repeatedly I am calling up Roadside assistance and Helpline Nos…… Service Center etc…etc... Iam finding all this really disgusting in my busy life schedule. Since the car is in the warranty period and also the first servicing is not done, I want the concerned Hyundai authorities to handle this issue professionally and promptly else I am forced to go the Consumer Court for filing the case for getting back my full cash amount as I knew from internet and other social media that there are lot many other customers who are also facing the same battery draining out issue in Hyundai Grand i10.

Close the boot properly so that the boot lamp is off, see that the dome light is in door (middle) position. After locking the car see that the start button is not glowing (in Asta model). Then there is no question of draining of the battery.

If any body got fix for this problem please call me at : 0********21. I think Hyundai guys couldn't understand why this is happening. I am really worried now....

Madam, I think your handling of the vehicle requires refreshing. My Asta auto i10 Grand is just perfect without any complaint in any system including the electrical system. Get a reorientation on its operation from your Hyundai dealer.

I have also purchased Hyundai i10 grand and taken delivery on 25th November 2013. After three days i am not able to start my car. Then helpline person came and he said that, this is due to Battery problem and he charges and started. I am totally disappointed with this.

Even I am seeing battery issue. It discharges completely, if you don't take it out for 2/3 days. I purchased Hyundai Grand i10 Asta Petrol on 28th October 2013. In last 40 days, battery got discharged twice.
When I called the dealer for the first time on this issue, he simply said " Sir you have to take the car every day or at least you should start it for 10/15 mins as its new battery". Even I thought "it might be true as it is new car". But When I asked my friends, who is comfortably driving Swit & Ritz.. they said "even if we don't start for a month also, we shouldn't be seeing any issue". Finally service guy started the car with another battery and kept it ON for few mins and it was working fine.

Again day before yesterday, I faced the same problem.. I called the Customer care.. and told them this is 2nd time in 40 days. Now the car is in workshop.. they are saying we will charge it for 24 hrs, and also we are updating some software. Workshop guys are suggesting me turn off the fuse while parking. I said.. " I didn't see anybody removing the fuse while parking even for Nano cars". I told them to investigate the problem and resolve it . I am not sure what's going to happen, as I am seeing all most all the Garnd i10 cars has the same problem. Really some technical problem in the car, which they couldn't identify and resolve it. I am also thinking of asking them written statement on "Issue, their observations and the solutions they provided to the car". If they are not solving the problem we should definitely go to even consumer court, and get our money back. Tomorrow I am going to get the car back from Service cetner, Let me see.. what they says on this issue...

I brought my grand i10 on oct 6th 2013 . never had this problem . But the dealer called me the other day and asked if my car was fine and they wanted to check it . they connected a computer to the socket below t steering on the right side . when asked he told some cluster problem . I wanted to dig the matter more but the support person seemed reluctant . I think there s a issue and they are trying to correct it . but somehow I feel they haven't determined the root cause . I will use my other car for a week and keep this car idle and see if there s a problem . fingers crossed .
