Nokia India - HOSTILE/INCORRECT TREATMENT AT NOKIA CARE

Dear Sir /s ,


1) I had bought a NOKIA E-71 (354********70979)on 13.09.08 from an authorised Nokia showroom and the handset is in warrenty period (original bill no.NCS 10372 is in place)

2)The handset developed the following problem:

while talking on phone ,it suddenly started to buzz and i was not able to switch it off and i removed the battery and then replaced it again.After which it did not start again.

3)Yesterday , i took it to NRI communication (Nokia care centre) at Lajpat Nagar ,New Delhi and i was shocked to receive the following treatment:

a)To start with i had to face a hostile executive named Mr.Vivek who had no basic courtesy required in customer care.

b)After examining the handset inside their workshop,they informed me that the handset is tampered and hence cannot be accepted for repair.

c)I tried my level best to explain that the handset has not been opened elsewhere as the same is in warrenty with original bill and necesity does not arise! And could have been tempered in their workshop itself, but they had teamed up by then and turned deaf ear!!On my query they even told me that there is no NOKIA regional office in and around NCR!!!

d)On my insistance to give me in writing ,they were first hesitant and then demanded that i pay Rs.112/- for the same,which i paid.And finally after reluctance issued me a Delivery note with job sheet no.111433527/090602/26 dt.2.6.09.

e)In their copy i had put the following remarks:

1.That they told a blatant lie that there is no Nokia regional office in and around NCR

2.The set has not been inspected elsewhere and hence there is no chance of tampering as there was no need to show the set elsewhere as this handset is in warrenty with original bill.(The handset could have been damaged in their workshop itself)

I could then get the contact details of Nokia regional office from Just dial services and could establish contact with Ms.Pooja Kashyap (at Gurgaon office)who patiently heared out the whole of the above and assured me to resolve and get my handset repaired/replaced.

I would like to highlight that the set has been bought with a money which is virtue of hard work and each and every penny is very very dear ,i trust Nokia ,valueing and respecting its brand name will take necesary steps and resolve the issue(REPAIRING IT TO ORIGINAL LEVEL OR REPALCE) as had been assured by Ms.Pooja Kashyap and releive me from the mental torture i am going through.

I am still waiting for necesary /needful action from NOKIA
