As a frequent traveler we often go to and from Kolkata NSCB airport. We found the following things at Kolkata airport which needs attention from concerned authorities. 1. A number of Luggage trolleys are either broken or damaged. Metal rods have been cut off and removed from the middle parts of a number of trolleys. It is very difficult to carry luggage with those trolleys. How is it possible that nobody ever inspects them or takes any action against the culprits? 2. It is quite difficult to reach a taxi with all luggages after a particular number is assigned in pre paid taxi counter. The system is not passenger friendly. In New Delhi sufficient numbers of security personnel control the boarding in prepaid taxis and no taxi can go out without registering in the exit point. This can be emulated in Kolkata to lessen the harassment of passengers. Taxi drivers are often rude to passengers and argue with travelers and demand the payment slip at the airport itself even before commencing the journey. 3. Toilets are not cleaned properly. We request concerned authorities to look into the matter and take necessary action to rectify these problems at NSCB airport Kolkata.
