Some backgorund:
My wife had filled a luck draw coupon at Big Bazaar in Fatima Nagar, Pune. After 2-3 days, she got a call from Country Vacations, Pune and the call was regarding the coupon which we filled in Big Bazaar has got selected in their lucky draw & they have gift for us. They asked us to visit their office and collect the gift. We were very happy and we went to Country Vacations office pune on 15th Sept 2010. At their place they told us, we have to attend some 90 mins presentation, and then they will give us our gift. Out of curiosity we decided to attend their presentation. In that presentation, they hypnotize us by their words and all promises. They showed us different booklets, there hotel chains, certificates and their ads in newspapers. In short words, their credit value in the market. Hence we thought this company is genuine and we can take membership of 5 yrs. Still we though to give a second chance before buying this membership and we asked them to give us some time and we will tell you on second day. But somehow they manage to convince us by giving us Rs.30000 discount on our package for that we needed to buy the membership on the very same day. We filled their forms and signed it. They ask us to pay Rs.50000 as down-pay and if we pay it by Credit Card. They promised that, that amount will get convert into 36 EMIs with 0% processing fee and 0% interest rate in a week hence I gave my SBI Credit Card. In the next month SBI charged us interest for country vacation payment. We inquired in SBI and they told us they have not received any request from country vacation to convert their amount in EMI’s. After that we visited country vacation office many times and filled up the form twice to get our amount in to EMI’s. They keep promising us that it will done within 5 days but still today that amt is not converted into EMI’s and I am paying interest to SBI. Now we are feeling they have cheated us with their all fake promises. We searched some members like us who are cheated by country vacations.
They promised us below things:
1) On 15th Sept 2010, they told us there are only 20 luck families who can avail these facilities from pune. ( till date we can see they are telling the same thing to new people and cheating new families)
2) Their country club pune branch will start in two month and we can avail their facilities for life time at free of cost from today. (today they are saying, you can avail their facilities only after paying full amount Rs.95000/-)
3) One year free Tasha package.
4) We will have membership cards in 30-45 days.( still we have not received any cards)
5) We can use their club for family occasions. (but their club is not available only to avail these facility)
6) 4 star & 5 star living in their hotels at free of cost. You can any time book their hotel and you will get sure booking for your request (if we try to book their hotel, it is always already booked for next two months)
7) Free passes for any special occasion celebrating in country club worldwide, they will call us to collect the passes. (still today we have not received any call or passes for their programs.)
8) After every release of any new movie, they will show us that movie in next week free of cost in their club. (till date nothing happened)
There are many such promises which they have not fulfilled till date.

I got similar call today. They promised one kitchenware and a free vacation trip worth rs. 25,0000. I asked them how much should i pay for it.They have told its free of cost. I have not decided to visit the place.
I also want to help people by saving them not to fall in these traps.

I got call to attend the session at Bug Bazar Chinchwad - I was told there are 5 gift coupons and Rs 500 discount on Star Bazar purchase,
Thanks for the post. It was an eye opener. Also, request you to please file a police complaint against Big Bazaar for allowing fraud to take place.

I also got a call from Wins Organization today .One lady called and she told about the same set of gifts mentioned here. We were suspicious about it . Tank God! I got this forum on googling..

First of all a big thanks to all people who have shared their miserable experiences here.
Today my Mom received a call from Chennai (Caller Name: Karthika - Female) telling her about some Lucky draw. (My small brother had visited a Big Bazzar in Chennai a few days ago, on a visit to Chennai with family and had filled up some gift vouchers) My mom didn't understand whatever they told in Tamil and broken English, so she made my father to call them back.
When my father called them, the same lady Karthika, (Her name could be fake) explained him about us winning a lucky draw and the gifts are a Kitchen set and a weeks trip to tourist locations such a Goa - all free of cost for my Parents or any other couple we suggest.
She asked my father to visit Chennai within 7 days in person and meet them at the below given address.

My parents were very much convinced that its for real, and my Father was planning to visit them on his next trip to Chennai in a couple of days. He called me just to ask me to find out the exact location of the Shop in Google maps, and when I asked the story in detail, he explained to me the above written.
I got some doubts and searched the address, and it matched with country vacations - Chennai, which is also functioning from the same place probably in Spencer Plaza. Then I came across all these posts and now fortunately I know what these people were up to or about to. Otherwise there was a great chance that my parents too could have been cheated the same way, many of you were cheated.
Thanks again to all for sharing here and i'm spending my time to write this just because I believe this can help grow awareness about this type of fraud.
Lastly let me remind you that alongside country vacations, beware of Wins Organisation/Club too. They both are probably the same, or just two sister companies with the same intentions.

thanks a lot to all those who have posted their complaints against being cheated by fraud agencies because it saves other people from being entangled in this crap.recently,I received a call from country vacation that i won the first prize (a voucher of rs 25000)in the lucky draw conducted in big bazaar and they want to take photograph of the couple.my pa, being a journalist denied to go but i being not so aware of the fraudulence was pressurizing him. Thanks a ton to u guys who saved me from being cheated.My n my family's full support is with u, who are fighting the battle against these type of cases.

Today i too got a call from big bazaar chennai. The guy name is Deva. he said that, your name is selected in lucky draw(he said, I placed the lucky draw in EA) and you won 3 gifts. 1. Kitchen set, 2. One day stay in ECR resort(opposite to VGP). 3. one week Holiday package to Goa/Kerala/etc..
Last month i didn't went to EA big bazzar. So i asked again to him.. Again he said, you have placed in EA only.. So I have some doubts about those guy. so I searched in google. I got this blog.

I have also been cheated by the same Pune dealers- at Aundh this time through Food Bazaar, Baner. After having paid 1.25 Lakhs, they have not given me any papers. Reminders asking for cards or refund of money have been met with a terse" you signed the contract and you should have been careful" response or even no response. This is absolute cheating and nobody is able prevent- I agree I have been foolish enough to believe their propaganda - eager as I was to get into a timeshare agreement. Now I realises all of them- Club Mahindra, Sterling holidays- are all frauds- they employ the same tactics to lure unsuspecting customers, and cheat them of their hard earned money. I was approached by all the three in the same manner. Incidentally how do corporates like Future group allow these frauds to operate from their premises- their agents are collecting addresses of people from the Big Bazaar outlets? Are they hand in hand?
i also got the same call from Prathamesh mob. ********03 and he said out of 150 members your lucky member for 5 free gifts.
