Hitachi Home and Life Solutions - Faulty AC to be replaced.

I had purchased Window AC 1.5T (HITACHI) through CSD on 13th April 2010. After two months i.e. July I had lodged the complaint that AC's cooling is not effective and it gives much more noise while cutoff compressor.

They(service engg) come on 1-09-2010 for service and it was again told about its cooling and noise. It was told me that cooling is less due to working of coils with dust and noise is normal.

In the night of the same day, cooling effect was lost and there is no cooling at all, other features are working normal i.e. fan, compressor etc.

Next day i.e. on 2-09-2010, I lodged my complaint to the call center and then number of calls made to call center as well as to service center at jalandhar but no service engg came to attend the call at my place. On 6th of september an Engg came , after examining the AC, he told me that gas of AC is leaked. He told me that the reason for gas leakage was rubbing of pipes. I asked him that how these pipes comes in contact with each other. I was shocked to listen this how it could happen with "HITACHI" which is a big manufacturer of AC's. After detailed study it was found that pipes are held with GROMAT with locks, due to some reason lock was not there and GROMAT shifted from its original place to lower side, this causes rubbing/collision of pipes and leakage of gas. After that I took the AC to Jalandhar service center and next day bring the AC from service center. Next day service engg came and installed the AC. I showed him the back of AC that was badly damaged and he tried his best to rectify the sane, but he couldn't do so.

My humble request is:-

(a) This is a manufacturing defect in the AC and GROMAT was not properly locked which causes leakage of gasin 3-4 months. Please replace the AC with new one.

(b) Kindly let me know such a big company like HITACHI is taking 5 days to attend the complaint.

(c) I am working as Junior Engineer in Ministry of Railway at Kapurthala. In our colony, I already praised "HITACHI" for its performance and quality, due to which 26 AC of HITACHI were installed at my collegues.

(d) I was mentally harassed due to this. It was very difficult to carry 1.5T AC from our city to jalandhar service center. I want rs3000 as compensation with replacement of AC.

I hope that you will look into the matter seriously and will some step as fast as you can. I will be very thankful to you and I also hope that you will let my trust break which I have on HITACHI.
