COMPLAINT : Case No - 051110-466 : Acer Timeline
I bought Acer Time line series in August 2009. In may 2010 (not even a year) the battery went into non-functional mode and had to change the same through your customer care center in
Janak Puri District Center. The center has to keep my laptop from 5th May - 18th May to replace a mere battery as they told it was stock out. This too when it was under warranty period.
Under these circumstances no laptop was even given as a replacement. It felt like Acer owners should not rely on the laptops and keep a backup.
However its just 6 months down the battery has stopped charging again and the service center tells me to change it again for Rs. 6000 as the laptop is not under warranty period anymore.
Does that mean Acer laptop requires investment of Rs. 6000 every 6 months ...????????
If the company is not sure of the original battery which was replaced, then what do it expects from customer to invest Rs. 6000 every 6 months ????
This is pure fooling of customers and a BIG loss in the daily working. Hence i would like to know your view point & action on the same, because as a customer I would ask you either replace the machine to a better one or change the battery, as teh company has to take guarantee for the life period of its spare parts. You an expect a customer to keep running around your service centers to get its work done.
