Indian Railways - Excess fare ticket for no platform ticket fine & also paid Rs.620 for two adult.

I would like toآ highlight some un-acceptable behavoiur that Iآ faced atآ Bangalore city Junction railway station on 20/09/09 morning 9 :10 AM..
My mother is resides in Allahabad.Ø¢ She was going back to Allahabad from Bangalore (SANGMITRA EXPRESS) and she had a operation because of that me & my sister went to drop her.
When I reached the station, I got that from 19.09/09 they have stopped giving the platform ticket.
Me & My sister went into the station to drop her to the train.Ø¢ On my way back there was a person standing at the exit and asked me for the ticket.Ø¢ & then he asked me for the fine to no platform ticket ,first he asked me Rs.310 then I refused him to pay then he took us to the some manager and then again they asked me for Rs. 620 for 2 person. After that I toId him that I wanted to meet station master for the same, then I will pay, after that he started telling me that we have to go to court for the same if we are not paying the money. I had paid the money because I was with my sister. After taking the receipt I asked him why have u given me the excess fare receipt.

He showed me a rule book where as per rule we have to pay fare from previous station + excess fare so we had paid 120+500 = Rs.620.
When I insisted I need a fine receipt, he told me that this is the only receipt that we have.
I had no choice but to take the excess fare receipt and come out quietly & he was behaving with us like we have done a big crime.
This is a shameful incident and casts a very poor image of the railway ministry, paying any fine is not a problem but paying money for excess fare is a totally fraud.
I kindly request Indian Railway to check the amount I had paid & also check that I case of no platform ticket why C T T I SQUADS had gave me the excess fare receipt.

Same thing happened with me. I entered the railway station from KSR METRO STATION exit way. I searched around before stepping upon Railway station stairs for platform ticket Booth. There were nothing. I climbed and went on other side of stairs to get down and look the other side if there was ticket vending both. But 2 foolish fellows in black ugly suits claiming to be employees of railway.. were sitting. And I asked them as to where I get a platform ticket. As I had come there to say bye to my dad travelling. They have me 310 receipt and took money. I told them that they were doing wrong.

Me too my father and grandfather went to station to pick up our relatives they suddenly came an isssued them a fine of 620.why so much fine?.by paying that we can go to our relatives house(hyd) and bring them here.they should take some serious action on this..

I too had a very similar incident and had to pay 300/- as fine. Infact the station where I was fined has 2 gates and platform tickets are sold at only one of the gates.
