I had purchased Godrej Eon Refrigerator (Double Door) from Capital Electronics in May 2010, within one month the lower portions handle was break. On my complaint to the dealer a person came from companies service station, came and told us that as this is plastic part it will not cover under the gaurantee of product and we have to pay Rs.400/- for replacing the handle.
And When I had confimed that if I will replace the handle what is the gurantee it will not get break in month or a particular period. The answer is NO, it has no gurantee.
Now my complaint is this If
1)COMPANY HAD DESIGNED A DESIGN,WHICH IS NOT CORRECT AND BECAUSE OF THAT PLASTIC HANDLE WILL BREAK AGAIN AND AGAIN, WHO IS RESPONISBLE FOR THIS.
2) COMPANY MAY BE USING SUBSTANDARD MATERIAL SO THE CONSUMERS ARE HAVING THIS KIND OF COMPLAINTS. THAN WHO IS RESPONISBLE FOR THIS.

Spending Rs.400/- on repair is not a big deal, but cheating consumer by their defected material or design is defenaitely is a crime. Because it is the manufacturers basic duty to use quality material either it is machinery part or plastic part.You are saling complete product not only machinery.
