Hi,
I am writing to you with reference to a Casio SHEEN watch purchased from Lifestyle stores in Gurgaon.
Bought in the name of : MOHIT KANSAL

I bought a Casio SHEEN, in October 2011. I used the watch for a few months and it stopped working around may 2012. I wondered if it was a battery problem since it had not been even a year I bought it. I took it to Lifestyle stores, they took the watch on 31st may till first week of June, when it was returned to me.
Firstly I was dissapointed in the first place that i bought a Brand like CASIO and I had to deal with repairing within a year! I thought its okay, and now it shall be okay.
Then the same thing happens again in November 2012! The watch just stops working suddenly! Without any shock to it or any moisture around. And i keep it very safely in its box always!
Then I remembered that the watch had stopped working in the same manner earlier, and the salesman had told me while taking the watch back (for first repair) that it should not be a battery problem since its so soon. He even said CASIO will replace it if there is a problem.

Now I am told I will have to pay for the repair, some amount of 1530/- . And here i put my foot down, I will not pay for a faulty watch to be repaired again and again!!!! Later after some exchange of mails I was given an offer of 10% discount on repair, which i declined.

I now request you to :
1. Either replace the watch with a new one.
2. Or refund me my money .

I have spoken to Mr. Chabra regarding this, who is head of customer service. Then was in touch with Mr. Sushil (email specialist) and then much later Ms.Diksha Dhamija(Company Secretary/legal rep). Ms Diksha claims to have explained everything to me, where as i am still not told as to why the watch stopped in the first instance, if it was why was the part not changed then? I also have a few questions for them which they refuse to answer for me.

1) What was the technical fault in the watch when it was given for repairs under warranty
2) What was the action taken? If a part was changed - what is the warranty of that part?
3) Was the customer made aware of the technical fault and explained the course of action?
4) Is it the same fault which is now occurred again? If not, what seems to be the fault?
5) On what basis have you worked out the amount for the watch "repair"?
6) What is the guarantee that this "fault" will not occur again?

This was not a cheap watch for me. You do not buy 8000/- worth watches for 6 months. I demand an explaination on the above.
And then Ms. Diksha also questions the "consumer forum" and what they are capable of.I am not ready to accept their solutions or their misbehaviour and mannerless attitude. If one talks to a stranger also some etiquettes are observed. CASIO INDIA does not believe in that i suppose.

Its ridiculous that a battery drains out so quickly and more than that a customer cannot change the battery on their own as it negates the warranty???? This is all rubbish by CASIO to excuse themselves of replacing a faulty watch. They are harassing the consumer. And their Legal secretary is a real pain who does not know how to talk to a customer at all.

Casio legal secretary is behaiving very arrogantly as if she is the owoner of the Caio company. The companys job is to satisfy Customer & customer services should be the top priority. In this case th watch is showing the same mistake after repair. The company must replace the watch
