IndiGo Airlines - Complaint - Missed flight due to Indigo staff inefficiency! Refund request

Dear Team,

This is email is regarding the complaint and inconvenience we have faced because of your staff inefficiency and stupidity.

I had a flight 6E – 399 (Booking IDs - V5BBRI & DCE6YN) from Delhi to Goa on 18 September 2015 at 12.15 pm, we did the check-in at 1030 am itself at IGI Airport. We were waiting at the waiting lounge for boarding time to start.

I would like to bring to your notice and to your management, that nobody at the IGI airport announced that the boarding has started or it’s boarding final call.
We were surprised as there was no announcement about the boarding, therefore, we moved to the gate to check about the same at 12 noon and there we found your staff member, he refused that we cannot board the flight as the boarding has finished, although the flight took-off at 1230 pm.
Because of which we missed our flight. your staff committed that he will arrange the tickets in the next flight and adjust the amount with the new tickets, to which we agreed, as we had a meeting in Goa at 7pm, but there were no seats available in the next flight.
As we had to reach Goa anyhow, therefore, we had to book Air Asia flight from International airport, which costed me INR 22500/-, almost 2 times of the fare.

I want to understand the following concerns:

1. Why did the airport management did not announce about the BOARDING – first and final call?

2. When the flight took-off at 1230 pm, then why your staff did not let me board the flight?

3. How can your pilot take-off, when the listed passengers had not boarded the flight, although the passenger did the check-in?

4. Who will take the responsibility of the monetary and non-monetary loss we had to bear because of your staff incompetency, inefficiency? Because of which our time was wasted, our money was wasted. I had to take the other International flight which costed me INR 22500/-

I need the refund for the flight we missed 6E – 399, the tickets were in name of Yatin Garg, Vikas Garg and Harpreet Verma. The total cost of flight was INR 15000/-. Kindly arrange the refund for the same asap.

I am surprised that brand like INDIGO cannot manage their staff. I need a response to my above queries within next 24 hours.

cancelled ticket as on 26.01.15 and my flight on 29.01.16 but refund not yet received till 14.02.16

Just as Nikita experienced I had horrible similar experience last week. I booked Del-MAA flight 6E 355 scheduled to depart at 20.20 hrs. I reached airport at 18.45 hrs and was waiting for the call in the first floor just above the boarding gates.
TV display was blank against this flight and as time passed by I felt bit tense and went down to check with the staff. It was at 20.15 wherein I was told that flight was about to depart and gates are closed.
Because of the lack of display and absence of any Indigo staff at the waiting area I missed my flight. Then they put me on to next flight which costed me Rs 3,200 extra. Finally I reached home at 1.30 hrs late night.
Along with me there were 6/7 passengers who missed the flight for the same reason. Infact one of the passengers pointed out that TV display just above entry down also blank for this flight.

I am a regular customer of Indigo Airlines. Previously I used to go by Spicejet,JetAireways and Go etc. When I first time I got in Indigo I found it more comfortable and started going by Indigo only. I was having my flight E2JLJY on 30th Sep'15,, While I was going to Bangalore Airport to on board my flight, I got stuck into on the way to airport road due to an accident on the road. I reached on boarding place just 30 minutes before. It was very much possible that I could get into the flight without any delay, I implored the onboarding staff like anything but she didn't listen me, I told her that I am a co-operate trainer I have to reach Delhi and start my session at 8:30AM. But she was behaving like a dumb and asked me to check on ticketing/reservation counter, There I was asked to book a new ticket or go next day via 7:05AM Indigo flight with a discount. When I checked for the discount, It was double of the amount which I spent on my missed flight booking. I requested the reservation staff to discuss with their manager, The manger's first enquired me that did I get a message that what time I need to reach to Airport. she even checked my mobile but didn't find any message. She told me that she will give me an email id to send the complain and also provide a toll free number for the same but later she forgot to provide me the details. I felt so much harassed by Indigo I had to wait whole night at Bengalore Airport. Next day I came to Delhi via Spice-jet flight E2JLJY-30SEP15 early in the morning.

I never expected such a bad experience with Indigo Airlines. Since I faced mental harassment and lost 7K to book another flight. Therefore I am expecting compensation against it. If I don't get any compensation then I will break my relationship with Indigo and encourage my family and relatives no to go via Indigo Airlines.

Waiting for your quick response.If you think about your customer a bit.
