On 21.12.2010 I got a call from BagItToday, supposedly a concern of India Today Group. The person told me that I have been

selected for a prize benefit of Rs 30000 in cash or diamond which has to be decided by the system. For availing the benefit I

have to generate a booking ID by making a transanction of Rs 9149 for Kenstar home appliance kit consisting of 5 kenstar

appliances
1. Kenstar Juicer Mixer Grinder
2. Kenstar Blender
3. Kenstar Iron
4. Kenstar Rice cooker
5. ???

I made the transaction from my credit card. Then they told for another transaction of 1798 for shipping charges. I made this

transaction as well. Then the tele sales executive kept me on hold for informing my benefit and come back with an

announcement that my prize benefit has been increased to Rs 55000 cash or diamond to be decided by the system. For availing

this benefit I have to make a tranasaction of Rs 16199 for Sony Camcoder. I reluctantly made the transaction not to forego

such a benefit. After the transaction is completed the executive kept me on hold for conforming the benefits. He come back

with the announcement that, an addtional benefit of Philips go gear worth Rs 7500/- is being given to me and my prize benefit

has been increased to Rs 85000 cash or diamond to be decided by system. For this He insisted on making a transaction of Rs

8999 for a Sony Erricson Mobile. I refused to do any furthur transaction but on the sales executive persistence insistance I

made the transaction.

After 3/4 days I got a call from a customer care executive for conforming my address which is

The customer care executive told that my pincode has been fed to their system as 764004 and told that they have no courier

service to 764020. I told her that my pincode is 764020 and also asked her about the benefits those are given to me. She told

she will be forwarding my concerns to appropriate executives.

I did not received any booking confirmation to my email untill I flooded their system with requests to confirm my orders i.e.

the product, cost of product, and addtional benefit to be given and the address where it is to be sent.

One Mr santosh called me on 06.01.2011 to inform me that the products booked are

1. Kenstar Juicer Mixer Grinder
2. Kenstar Blender
3. Kenstar Iron
4. Kenstar Rice cooker
5. ???
6. Samsung Camcoder (Instead of Sony Camcoder)
Attached benefit Philips Go Gear worth around 3000 (Instead of 7500)
7. Kodak didgital camera(Instead of Sony Erricson mobile phone with opering system 6.2)

8. and the prize benefit being given to me is Rs 55000 worth diamond (Instead of Rs 85000).

When I told that since they are neither sending the products which I have booked nor giving the promised prize benefits of Rs

85000 worth GIA certified diamond, I want to cancel all my orders; he gave me three options
1. To accept the products mentioned by him with prize benefit of Rs 65000 diamonds
2. To cancel the first order and receive

a)Samsung Camcoder (Instead of Sony Camcoder)
Attached benefit Philips Go Gear worth around 3000 (Instead of 7500)
b) Kodak didgital camera(Instead of Sony Erricson mobile phone with opering system 6.2)
and prize benefits worth Rs 55000
3. Or to cancel all the orders and get a refund within 21 days.

I told him to call me next day for my decision. When he called on 07.01.2011 I told him to cancell all my orders. He asked

for the reason and I replied i have other priorities than spending my money on cameras. He told my money will be refunded

within 21 days.

On 10th again he called me that some of the products has already been dispatched and I have to refuse when those arrives me.

though I will refuse when the products arrivee me I have the following complaints against Living Media India Ltd, A-61,

Sector 57, Noida - 201301, Phone (91) 0120-4078000, email customercare@bagittoday.com in whose name my credit card has been

charged.

1. Cheating (for taking order for one product and telling I have ordered for another)
a) Samsung Camcoder (Instead of Sony Camcoder)
Attached benefit Philips Go Gear worth around 3000 (Instead of 7500)
b) Kodak didgital camera(Instead of Sony Erricson mobile phone with opering system 6.2)
2. Cheating (for telling lies about the prize benfit worth Rs 85000 while taking order and leter confirming it to be worth Rs

55000.
3. Not promptly refunding my money after order cancellation (Refunded only 1798 of 36145)
4. Causing Mental harassment.

So I request you to be kind enough to look into the matter and take appropriate action against Living Media India Ltd , A-61,

Sector 57, Noida - 201301, Phone (91) 0120-4078000, email customercare@bagittoday.comso that they will not dare to cheat

anybody in future. My booking ids for the above orders are 110100153, 110100158, 110100162, 110100166 dtd 21.12.2011

In continuation with the above complaint , I received a call today ( 12.02.2011, 11.10 am) from number +********1300 for confirming my details or so to say. The tele executive identified himself to be Akash from BagItToday, a India Today Group Concern. He told me that today they will be refunding Rs 16199 , one of the amount of my transactions for Sony camcoder which letter found out to be transacted for Samsung camcoder. He told me to generate a IOTP in for my creditcard and told the process. I told that I am not going to enter into any transaction, so I donot need it. He told that for refund also I will need a IOTP number. I did generate an IOTP number following the procedure. Then Akash told that he will be connecting to their senior for refund. When the other parson come online he told that they will be sending the diamond to me. I told that since I have cancelled all my order I will not accept diamond. Then he told for refunding my money I have to generate a Booking ID by making transaction of Rs 4998 for a product. I bluntly refused to do the transaction and told , if this is the process of refund than send it to my email so that I will consult a legal expert beofre I make any transaction. He tried to explain me what are bulk email , why he is making a call and more over BagItToday, India Today Group has not the facility to send an individual mail explaning the process of refund which he had just explained. I laughed at his words and told unless he send it by mail, I am not going to transact. He told if I am not making the transaction I will not be getting the refund. I told my bank will take care of it.

So this is how BagItToday, A sister concern of INDIA TODAY group works. Instead of refunding my money they are telling me to buy more for refund? So DOES IT REFLECT THE STATE OF INDIA TODAY GROUP? If true, donot deal with such fraud company, let alone believe in what they tell. Be the fall near for fraud company. Ameen.

What is new in the reply. I already have mentioned that I have got refund amount of Rs 1798 in the complain itself. Why are you sending the products for a cancelled orders? Am I responsible for it. Why can't you have a better coordination among your sections? Explaining me communication gap between different section will reflect the mess in which a concern of India Today Group is in? Please refund instead.
