First of all, i pay my sincere thanks "The Mobile Store" people n the Redington guys for giving me such a horrible experience of my life by taking a New Premium Business phone Called Blackberry Bold 9700 from the so called caring people of "The Mobile Store".i am surprised to see the fact that they people are not bothered to give the service to ur customers. To tell u in brief, i had purchased One Blackberry smart Phone Bold 9700 IMEI No. 35********10556 and PIN No. 21AAA5A6 from the mobile store ,Sector-5 ,Dwarka New delhi on 11th March,2010 and that was the day I am into the trouble. The trouble starts right after taking the product as after half an hour,my phone started creating problems and was continuously hanging up while playing any Multimedia application.i had called at 11 p.m on the same day to The mobile store about the problem and asked them to replace my handset. i had spoken to Mr. Santosh at the Mobile store toll free support no. 1********63 and he had assured me to get the solution within 48 hours and given me a S.request No. as R100002160.At the same time,I had posted the feedback at the contact us column of the Mobile store website and attached is the forwarded mail to my credit card merchant bank to hold the payment done for purchasing the Handset to the mobile store on the same day.(Although the bank was unable to Hold the payment,so it was done that time only)

But my surprise starts as even after so many calls at the mobile store no.,they r lingering the situation saying that they r looking into the matter and will get back to me as soon as they find any solution.

In the mean time, the problem in my handset becomes serious and it stopped powering on. When I again called the mobile store people, they again repeated the same story that they had forwarded my complaint to their Head Office at Mumbai nd will revert to me but no solution and again given me a ref No. I100043718.

Looking to no response from the mobile store people,I called the Blackberry toll-Free support no. on 12th July and registered the complaint and they had adviced me to visit a service center in Gurgaon which is 90 Kms from my place.Any how I managed to visit the Redington Service center in Old DLF Gurgaon Today, but they had diagnosed the Handset for a hardware fault and ask me to submit it for repair as they can replace it only if the problem occurs within the 90 days of the Purchase.and even they r saying that they need to send the phone to Bangalore for Repair n the ph. will come back in 20-30 days and refused to even arrange a stand by phone.

Now please tell me where is my fault if I bought this handset from a so called reputed store and facing the problem for the very first day.I need ur help to get the support in replacing my handset with a new one as the mine is in Brand new condition and with all the box packed accessories otherwise I will be having no option than going thru the Legal procedure/Consumer forum or to take this as a pick=pocket kind of experience.

Please help me as I was having so much expectation from the Blackberry team and the Mobile store people but I think I am getting a feel of being cheated in this case and this is not only spoiling the brand image of the mobile store in my Mind but also shattering the confidence in the services offered by such a good internationally recognized brand B;ackberry.

Thanx and Regards,

Hey guys,

I also faced exactly same problem as explained by Mr. Sandeep and to everyone attention i got the phone from sec 6 DWARKA NEW DELHI, THE MOBILE STORE, purchased date approx 6-7th July 2010.

The phone purchased by me is also bold 9700.

Initially the phone used to restart a lot and the problem keep happening. In last few weeks (2-3) the back flash light is also keeping ON all times, though the strength is very low.

Someone please help us guys on this as for me the handset is only 50 days old.

thanks

I also faced same kind of problem. I have filed a case against Redington in Consumer Court, Jalandhar. Its still going on and in last hearing , redington has submitted a statement saying they are only responsible for servicing of phone and for any problem customer should file case against RIM in Canada....................................So irresponsible it feels of company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111

I don't know if they have resolved your complaint yet.

But I am too very disappointed with The Mobile Store. I bought a Nokia handset last year in May with them and they provided my 2 years warranty (1 yr. Nokia, 1 Yr. Mobile Store.) It started creating problems last week and when I went to them they said that there are no records of the extended warranty in their books for my purchase. I feel so cheated and deceit. Mine is not very expensive but I won't mind speaking against them in any forum now.

Somehow it has strengthened my belief in a normal retailer, at least they care for their customers unlike dummy "Customer Care" assistants in these so called big brands.
