Bajaj Auto - Bajaj Auto After Sales Service Very Poor

We own a Bajaj Auto 3 Wheeler KL-07 AU 3513 Model GC 1000.
Now, our vehicle was sent to the workshop on 13.05.09 for engine work and an advance of Rs.4,000/- was also paid to them.On 30.05.09 balance amount of Rs.8702/- was also made.The engine cover also found missing and the vehicle was there for a weks time. After the vehicle was brought to our house, the driver couldn\'t start the engine the next day morning. We were told by the mechanic from the workshop that the electronic fuel pump is not working, when we asked to repair or replace the pump, we were said that the parts is not available at stock/ with the head office as they have placed the order earlier itself. We were asked to purchase it from the outside market. We waited for a period of 2 months to get the spares from the outside sources on 14.08.09. Though the fuel pump was replaced the engine was not starting yet. Then the vehicle was taken to the workshop. Then after the inspection they told that the piston sleeve (Cylinder) got rust and oil change was also done. Still the vehicle is not in working condition, though we have paid again Rs.1800/-, which was demanded again on 18.09.09 thru phone.
So, please suggest me is it a mistake purchasing a vehicle from a renowned company like Bajaj. I couldnt use the vehicle nearly for a period of 4.5 months, were i have paid auto fare more than 10,000/- per month in the absence of our vehicle. A reputed company like Bajaj not having proper stock available for the purchasers. How will you compensate my loss due to the delay occured from the service side.
