My recent nightmare with INDIGO

PNR : Q26HNN - Bangalore - Mumbai flight at 09:20am dated 05th Oct 2013
Even after web-checkin was done and I did not have any check in baggage, I was told the gates are closed when I reached the desk at 08:55am.
Below are the reasons for me to reach the counter ar 08:55am
1. I was standing in the queue exclusive for web-check in at 08:40am, with 2 passengers ahead of me, Time taken for each of them was a bit more than normal.
2. Before I could go to the counter, one INDIGO staff barges in with 2 trolleys filled with baggages for 2 ladies. 2 of their bags weighed 74.6kgs and they were having lot of issues with the counter lady....eating away a lot of time. Plus one of the lady tipped off the Indigo staff with a 100 rupee note in front of me. When I asked him ..he replied - 'fast track'!!!
3. Absolutely no paging was done before the scheduled 30min prior to departure of the flight as I was standing in the queue from 08:40am which is 40min before the flight time.
4. Poor attitude of the counter staff as she simply said I have missed the flight and asked to check for options at the counter.
5. I had to pay close to rupees 10,000 for 2 tickets for the next flight scheduled to leave at 10:20am. Astonishing and shocking as well!!
6. No consideration from any of the INDIGO staff around.
7. For your information - 10:20am flight departed at 10:10am itself
8. Next day on my return from Mumbai by 09:20pm flight...this flight departed at 09:00pm itself.

Very very poor and unprofessional approach by INDIGO
Just finding methods to loot the passengers and cause a great deal of inconvenience and anxiety.

On sending mails after mails to the customer care, there was a telephonic response after 12 days and instead of listening properly, they abruptly disconnect the call.

One sincere request, though the rates mentioned are lower for INDIGO when compared to the other airlines....please please do not opt for this airways...they sound and act also in a very unprofessional and even unethical method, therby spoiling your own journey and mood.....invariably end up paying much more ....

So INDIGO seems to be satified with following modus-operandi:
1. The staff accepting 'tips' from passengers for extra services.
2. The counter staff taking their own sweet time to deal with individual passsengers
3. Even if web check in is done ...to claim that the same was not completed on the net.
4. Absolutely no paging done before the gate closure.
5. To fly off at their own convenient time irrespective of the scheduled departure time.
6. Inhuman and hostile approach of the ground staff, an approach not to resolve the issues but immediate steps to draw out more cash from passengers and causing anxiety.
7. Above all, responses back to customer complaints after 12 days and with an approach which is not customer centric at all. Disconnecting calls abruptly.

PLEASE AVOID INDIGO at any cost and make your travel a lot smoother and safer.
