I have been haggling with the Airtel customer care since 15 January regarding the conversion of my Airtel prepaid number to a post-paid connection. The post-paid connection is a corporate connection given to me (and to several colleagues in my company) by Mr Lalit (********95) of Right Connection, Sec-18, Noida. The documents were submitted to him on 15 Jan at the . On 23 Jan, my prepaid connection was de-activated and till date my post-paid sim card has not been activated. Several complaints with the customer care (Complaint ref # 54783286, 54786033, 54805502), and the nodal and appellate officers have yielded absolutely no results. Mr Lalit has washed his hands off the problem and has started avoiding my calls. Since 23 Jan, I am without a phone connection. I wish to ask you who will be responsible for the professional and personal loss caused due to this?
Sick and tired of all nonsense, I approached the Airtel relationship centre at yusuf sarai on 25 Jan to get any one of the sim cards activated, which, to my shock and horror, happened to be a big mistake. The representative there told me that they have “no responsibility regarding my dysfunctional connection”. When I confronted the officials on saying something so ridiculous, the middle-aged manager came out from his cabin and screamed at me- “GET OUT! I SAY GET OUT OF THIS PLACE!”. The manager screamed at me not once, not twice but for nearly 5 minutes in front of many other customers before my sister was almost ON THE VERGE OF TEARS. The representatives then started to gang up to throw and push me and my 18-year old sister out of the Airtel centre, before we had to leave- humiliated, harassed and utterly distraught.
I ask you- when will this harassment stop?
I donot want any connection from Airtel- but at least activate my connection so that I can start the MNP process to move to another service provider.
Is it my fault that I am an Airtel customer?
Is there absolutely no code of ethics, behaviour or morals to be followed by Airtel employees?
Is there any limit to the harassment that you cause to customer?
Airtel may be a leading service provider, but today, I take this pledge that never, ever in my life am I going to take any Airtel service even if it is offered to me for free. You are unprofessional, inhuman and completely money-driven and I sincerely hope that Bharti Airtel closes down soon so that the 200 million Airtel customers are saved the mental torture and anguish on dealing with you.
This post is only to sensitise people who are reading this to seriously consider shifting to an honest service provider and avoid Airtel’s customer torture department!
