Sub.: Claim against non-working of AC in 2 tire coach (A1 )
Train No.4218 (Unchahar) dated 05.06.09
Dear Sir,
It is a matter of great concern that I had booked my seat no. 1 (LB) in 2 Tire AC coach. for Train No. 4218 (Unchahar ) from Panipat to Kanpur on dt.05.06.09.
The other particulars of my tickets are mentioned as under :
Name of the passenger : Dr. Shashi Sharma
Age : 56 years
PNR No. : 236-0405760
Ticket No. : 55664748
Fare Amount : Rs. 842.00
Journey : Panipat to Kanpur
When I boarded the train at Panipat on 15.06.09 ,I was surprised to find that the AC was not in operation. When inquired from the other passengers, it was gathered that the AC was not in operation from the initial station i.e from Chandigarh.
I , female passenger was travelling alone in the said train. Even then , I lodged a written complaint during my journey in book no. 28 (002) which was made available by the attendant.
Now, more than 2 weeks is over but neither the appropriate refund has been received at my address mentioned in the complaint nor the status of my complaint has been communicated.
You could easily realize that how I had completed my journey in that night when there was to hot & I was travelling alone in the train. The main mistake on the part of the railway was, how the coach was attached at the initial station i.e from Chandigarh when AC was not in operation.. No official was serious in his duty that how the passengers would complete their journey ,those have paid a huge fare for a comfortable journey.
I thing this a fit case for investigation so that such type of event may not be repeated in future.
In light of the above, I approach your good office that the appropriate refund may be sent me at the earliest on the following address & the status of the inquiry may also be made available for my satisfaction.
Hoping a prompt action in the matter,
Thanking you,
Dr. Shashi Sharma
